Mario Vs. Donkey Kong For Nintendo Switch Preorders Are Live

After a long layoff, the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series is officially back. Announced during the latest Nintendo Direct, Mario vs. Donkey Kong releases exclusively for Nintendo Switch on February 16, 2024. Simply titled Mario vs. Donkey Kong, this is a full remake of the beloved first entry in the series that originally released on Game Boy Advance. If you’re looking forward to partaking in the battle between the classic rivals–Mario vs. Donkey Kong is available to preorder now.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong preorder bonuses

No preorder bonuses have been revealed at this time, as is often the case with first-party Nintendo games. However, retailers often offer exclusive bonuses alongside Nintendo games, so we’ll update this guide with any retailer-exclusive bonuses as they are announced.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong features modern graphics that resemble other Super Mario side-scrollers on Switch, such as the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Wonder. But make no mistake about it, Mario vs. Donkey Kong isn’t a traditional platformer. Rather, this side-scroller has a heavy puzzle-solving emphasis.

Mario’s goal is to save the Mini-Mario toys, which Donkey Kong has so rudely taken. Apparently, no one taught Donkey Kong to share as child.

The remake adds two-player co-op, so you and a friend can outwit Donkey Kong together.
