Top Xbox one realistic war games you must-play in 2021

Just the idea of thinking about it, I can only imagine how important video games are to so many people ranging from school kids to working-class individuals...Yes!

Games are categorized and sub-categorized into different genres, one of which is war games. Now, What other way can you experience war in proxy than by playing a video game that is war-themed? Given that there have been several franchises that have continued to churn out stand-out war games, some less popular franchises have also made some of the all-time best war games. As the year comes to an end, we felt it would be nice to talk about some of the top war games that were scheduled for release in 2021.

Halo infinite

Halo infinite

Publisher: Xbox Games Studios

Release month: December 2021

Platform: PC, XSX/S, Xbox one

In the trailer for the game, we can assume that Master Chef’s latest adventure would be more sandbox and open-ended. After a mixed reaction to the upgrade of Master Chef’s armor in the previous edition, the developers have decided to downgrade it and revert to the familiar and more accepted armor. With a change to the game’s engine, we should expect to have even more fun while playing.

Call of Duty: Vanguard

Call of Duty: Vanguard

Publisher: Activision

Release month: November 2021

Platform: PC, XSX/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5

Taking us back to World War 2, Call of Duty Vanguard has created a storyline like always. Only that this time we would be playing in the skins of 4 different characters. These characters include 2Lt. Lucas Riggs of Australia’s 20th battalion, Capt. Wade Jackson of the United States scouting squadron six, Lt. Polina Petrova of the soviet 138th rifle division and Sgt Arthur Kingsley of the British’s 9th parachute battalion. Taking us back to the origins of Special Forces, the vanguard edition tells us a story from different perspectives in the campaign mode, which in itself sounds exciting. An additional feature to look out for is the zombie crossover mode. I for sure can’t wait to get my hands on the game when it comes out.

Medic: Pacific war

Medic: Pacific war

Publisher: Games Operators, PlayWay

Release month: November 2021

Platform: PC

This is a third-person action game where you assume the role of a medic in the United States army. It was set in World War 2 on the Pacific front. The main objective is to make tough decisions on who to save and how to save the different soldiers who need the attention of the medic on the battlefield. This is done bearing in mind that your decision influences whether your squad would clear the task or not. Setting out on a very different part from most of the other war games, medic: Pacific War should be a fun game to play.

Battlefield 2042

Battlefield 2042

Publisher: Electronic Arts

Release month: November 2021

Platform: PC, XSX/S, Xbox one, PS4, PS5

The seventeenth edition of the first-person shooter game called Battlefield is about to be released and the anticipation is really nice. Unlike previous editions where players were allowed to play in the single-player mode, this edition according to reports would be solely multiplayer and it is set in the near future, meaning you should expect to see futuristic gadgets. There are so many additions to this edition that I feel would give the players a different war experience while playing. With three different gameplay modes, weapon customization, and multiple weather conditions, we can easily say that we are not totally prepared for what is about to hit us.

Hell let Loose

Hell let loose

This is a FPS kind of game that has its plot rooted in the WWII era where players have to help their team to ensure victory. Basically a team-focused game, Hell let loose is a 50V50 warfare game that is offensive in nature. Players could choose their weapons and make use of different artillery-like vehicles, traps, and barriers to hold the line, among other abilities. This is a hard-core game that will keep you playing repeatedly.

Six Days in Fallujah

Six Days in Fallujah

Publisher: Victura

Release month: Q4 2021

Platform: PC, XSX/S, Xbox one, PS4, PS5

This game was earlier released in 2009. However the controversy that followed its release was because of the proximity to the event the game was centered around. Konami decided to cancel it. With a new publisher on board and a huge gap between the years, there is a certain hype that the game pulls. Themed around the bloody battle between the US marines and the Iraqi insurgents that took place in 2004, this game allows you to relive it in a first-person tactical mode. Although a bit sketchy, we expect a total revamp of the earlier edition released in 2009. We also hear that there may be multiplayer mode meaning you and your friends can catch the fun together.
